Guru: Expected to Recover (Despite Twitter Rumors)
March 2, 2010 Entertainment, News
Twitter is famous for reporting deaths prematurely and the same has happened this week regarding rapper Keith Elman, better known as Guru, the front man for the group Gang Starr.
While tweeters were busy posting “RIP Guru” messages, sources close to him (mainly DJ Premier) were trying to refute the claims that the rapper had died.
The legendary emcee suffered cardiac arrest over the weekend and (underwent surgery the morning of Monday, March 1st.
This morning, AllHipHop.com is reporting that Guru’s surgery was successful and is doing fine. Doctors say he is expected to make a full recovery.

Good to hear.
This has also been reported on MTV.com. The people on Twitter should be ashamed saying he died. Someone is always trying to get a scoop.
